Taleen Cochran

Biography

Taleen graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Environmental Engineering Science, earning a 3.8 GPA. Throughout her academic career, she combined technical precision with a deep commitment to real-world problem solving — from air sampling research in UC Berkeley’s Atmospheric Biogeochemistry Lab to GIS-based conservation work with the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission.

Her diverse professional experience spans environmental research, policy analysis, and project management — including roles at the California State Water Resources Board and Geosyntec Consultants. Across these positions, Taleen developed a reputation for reliability, clear communication, and analytical excellence.

Approach to Tutoring

Taleen’s teaching style reflects her engineering mindset: methodical, patient, and focused on mastery through understanding. She helps students build confidence by breaking down complex mathematical concepts into approachable steps, fostering both competence and curiosity.
